The third race of Spanish Championship CEV took place in Montmeló circuit close to Barcelona. On Friday the free rides did not go well, Míra managed only to make eight laps. He was too long on the brakes and he fell in high speed into the cowlick. Míra did not manage to keep the motorcycle going straight and fell off. As our mechanics did not fix the motorcycle, Míra could not continue in the training. In the second training Míra was troubled with the technical problems in the engine and after three ridden laps he has to go in the box. As this was his first time on this circuit on the motorcycle category 125GP our expectations for the qualification were not very positive.
In the first measured training Míra managed the fourth fastest time and the whole team was really enthusiastic and surprised, after absenting the trainings this did not expect anyone. In the second measured training it was expected Míra to make his performance even faster and make his positioning in the starting grid better. Unfortunately this did not happen and Míra was moved to the sixth position e.g. second row. On Sunday, the warm-up was satisfactory and Míra confirmed the right setting of his motorcycle. Míra finished fourth with a 0,09sec jump on the first rider. Into the race on Sunday afternoon Míra had an unlucky start and he was leaving the start as 18th. During next few laps Míra got into the right rhythm and he was gaining his positions back. After six laps he settled on the third place and had a 2 seconds jump, which kept till the finish. He moved to the second position due to the fall of the second rider in the very last lap in the race. This secured Míra the second place in the final positioning.
