The initial race of the CIV Championship 2011 took place in Misano Adriatico close to Rimini. The sun, slight wind and temperatures around 24 degrees Celsius were very nice on Friday, during the free rides. Míra was very close to his times reached last year on this circuit. This was a signal, that during the qualification his performance should be even better. The first qualification training did not finish for Míra well, he got a high side in one curve and it was impossible to reach better results. The team managed to prepare the motorcycle for the second qualification and Míra was ready to get better times than in previous qualification. But unfortunately, Míra did manage to burn the clutch, which he did not manage for a long time. During his pit stop, mechanics decided for change into the harder clutch springs, this came out as a good solution, but only for next two laps, after that the clutch was spinning and was unable to keep the rotation speed over 12.000 r/min. This was to leave the second qualification and Míra received the 7th position (second row) in the starting grid.
Míra received a new clutch for the warm-up on Sunday, the task was to try everything even the simulation of the start, so we will find out if everything is functioning well and is ready for the race. This trial came out without problems and Míra was second in the warm-up. Míra was determined to fight for the best position in the Sunday race. The start was on his average level, the first curve was Míra leaving on the sixth position. During next few laps Míra got to the third position and received his best time of 1:45:06 sec, which was a little bit slower than the first two riders. The race was suddenly stopped for a collision on the track, which also left an oil soil on the track. The race was restarted for 10 laps. The starting grid was according to the results from the race, Míra was in the first row. He was concentrated and was leaving the first curve as second. It was a very nice race, during the next few laps there were some very nice changes in the first two positions. After one of these change Míra managed to jump a little bit form the second rider and he was slightly getting further and further from the second rider and finally he managed to win the race with a 2sec lead time on the second rider. Despite the fact that the first racing weekend did not start well with the qualifications, the final was very positive and successful and Míra received his first great points in the new season!!
