The fifth race of the Italian Championship CIV was held in Misano Adriatico this time. The temperatures were exceeding over 35 degrees Celsius in the shadow. The first Friday´s free training was to optimize the chassis setting for Saturday´s qualification trainings. It was finally after the last training when we managed to set the axel fork to full rider’s satisfaction.
During the first Saturday´s qualification training Míra managed the time 1:46,258 s, which would mean Pole position and a small jump ahead on the second rider (0,249s). Míra was entering the second measured training determined to cut the time and make better times compared to the first measured training. In spite of he did not manage to improve, he won the second qualification and received a Pole position into the Sunday’s race. The warm up on Sunday was without complications, so Míra was fully concentrated on the race in the afternoon. Míra was entering into the race from the Pole position, which was his first time in the Italian Championship CIV. The start was successful; in the first curve was Míra fourth. During the next two laps Míra improved on the second position. The leader was unfortunately making a jump of more than 3sec on him. This was very difficult to get closer, because both riders had the same rhythm and times. It is hard to say, how it would end, because the fast times achieved during the qualification were even not being achieved now, suddenly the leader made a mistake and fell down into the cowlick. Míra had a good jump on his followers, he received a signal from the boxes to calm down slightly, so he could finish without complications and win. He strengthen his position as a leader in the Championship, currently after the Misano race he is 24 points ahead of the second rider.
