Castellioli - 1. race on a motorcycle Metrakit 125 PRE GP 13-15.3. 2009

So it came, the first race. The circuit is circa 60km from Barcelona, near to Iguala. We left for the circuit on Thursday straight after arriving to Barcelona. Due to the fact, that this circuit is quite new and these races were the first races there, Mira has to double his effort, because his competitors were training there a week ago. On Friday Mira has to manage only with the circuit observation from the bike seddle. We were surprised the next day, because we met in the box two new tream members from Brazil, one of them was Lucass Barros, the son of Alex Barros (rider of Motor GP). Traning began as ususal gradually. The main goal was to get known the new circuit and get used to the new motorcycle, which was brand new. Due to the fact, that the owner brought it on Tuesday afternoon and on Thursday it was ready in the circuit´s box. After the first half an hour, Mira said that the circuit ground is bumpy, even it is new. Other riders confirmed Mira´s opinion, so finding the optimal track was very difficult. It was necessary to follow these, who already had trained on this circuit and knew the best track, this saved us time to set the motorcycle´s gears and chassis. On Saturday the qualifiing trainings began, so the fight for the best placing in the starting positions began, it has more or less the same importancy as the race. Finally Mira managed the 7th place, which was the second row. This was the first race in this season, so we were quite satisfied. The start was surprisingly very good and Mira managed to keep with the leading group. The first lap he finished on the 5th place. Unfortunately in the second lap Mira was gradually loosing among other riders, but at the end of the 4th lap he did not arrive at all. The engine started to loose its power until it stopped working completely. According to Mira´s comments, he managed to keep it on the clutch and avoid unconviniet fall in full speed. This knocked out all our expectaions for a good placing and winning some points. Machanic said taht the engne was grinded. We were pleased by the fact, that Mira is able to keep among the leading five, which promises future good placing among the first 3 even in this high quality Championship in Spain.
